1. Salesforce Alternative: Pipedrive

Pipedrive Homepage

Are you running a small business? Are you a part of a marketing team? Pipedrive could be your holy grail.

This efficient CRM is chock-full of smart marketing tools to help sales professionals easily execute sales and marketing campaigns, particularly their pipeline management feature.

Pipedrive Pipeline Management

Probably the most appealing feature of Pipedrive is its economical pricing. You basically get access to a lot of premier features for a ridiculously low price.

This is good news for small teams and beginner sales professionals.

And because it’s made by sales experts for sales experts, it’s so easy to use. If you’re part of a team that’s rapidly growing, you’ll also appreciate Pipedrive’s scalability.

Pipedrive Pricing Plan

Pipedrive Pricing

Pipedrive follows the usual billing plans which are based on the number of users per month.

  • Essential [$12.50/month]: Basic features include customizable pipelines, custom fields, data import and export, meeting scheduler, activity reports, mobile app integrations, and sales assistance.
  • Advanced [$24.90/month]: Adds slightly more features such as Google Drive/OneDrive integration, workflow automation, email open and click tracking, and customizable signatures.
  • Professional [$49.90/month]: Grants access to company-wide sharing of docs and templates, custom reports, group emailing, team management and goals, security dashboards, calls directly from the web, and unlimited virtual dashboards.

Advanced Cloud-Based CRM With Intuitive Features And Automatic Social Profile Enrichment [Free | $29 a month]

For a lot of small businesses that are building an online presence, social media integration is crucial in enhancing selling strategies and spreading brand awareness.

That’s where Insightly shines the best. Here’s why:

This intuitive CRM tool features an automatic profile enrichment that adds social network profiles to contact records.

That capability gives users more access to customer behavior insights and more focus on their needs.

Insightly also features Opportunities and Lead Management dashboards, as well as a built-in accounting software with all paid plans.

The three pricing plans for Insightly are as follows: Plus, Professional, and Enterprise.

But here’s the good news:

Insightly also offers a free plan for up to two users. Understandably, being on that plan will give you limited features. But a “free forever” plan is always a good thing!

Below is a detailed description of each plan. Please note that the prices below are billed annually.

  • Plus [$29/month].  Access to email scheduling and leads management features, not to mention you also get up to 100 email templates. Not bad.
  • Professional [$49/month]. Adds lead assignment roles as well as priority email support and automatic social profile enrichment.
  • Enterprise [$99/month]. Task and event management, complete workflow automation, 250+ apps integration, plus a dedicated support specialist to assist you at your beck and call.
  • Free plan: This “free forever” plan is limited to two users and doesn’t offer the most features. But since it won’t cost you a penny, it may be worth exploring just to get a feel of the general functionalities of Insightly.

If features are important to you, then the free plan probably won’t give you the satisfaction you’re looking for. You’re better off starting with the Plus plan and upgrading if needed.

3. Salesforce Alternative: Hubspot CRM

Hubspot Sales Dashboard

Sales And Marketing-Driven CRM With The Best Free Plan And Automated Workflows [Free| $45 a month]

Hubspot’s CRM is famous for a lot of things, but perhaps the most notable is its “free forever” plan, which has no limit on the number of users.

That’s right — unlimited users.

That allows sales and marketing professionals to freely experiment with this powerful CRM’s features without breaking the bank.

And it is indeed “powerful”. Here’s why:

  • Statistics are delivered in real time, which helps you monitor the precise status of each lead as they move along the funnel.
  • You can also monitor your deal flow according to performance, giving you an up-to-date tracking of your actuals versus targets.
  • The interface allows you to sort the dashboard so you can instantly extract whatever dataset or trend that you’d like to look at.
Hubspot Pipeline

The second most important thing you need to know about Hubspot CRM is that it’s sales and marketing-driven.

In fact, some would even say it’s Hubspot’s best feature.

Imagine this:

With Hubspot, you can combine CRM with various sales and marketing tools.

Within the tool itself, you can book meetings, send emails, manage lists, place calls, and provide more data points in your marketing and sales process.

My personal favorites among its sales and marketing features are the email templates and email automation workflow.

Hubspot Email Templates

If you’re digital marketing savvy, you also get to play around with lead capture forms, landing pages, paid ads, and SEO, all within the same tool.

Hubspot Pricing Plan

Hubspot Pricing

Because anyone can use HubSpot with their “free forever” plan, they make money by offering premium add-ons that add a wide range of features to their core CRM tools:

  • The Marketing Hub ranges from $50 to $3,200 per month and adds advanced features to help convert leads, including everything from forms, A/B testing, dynamic personalization, ads optimizations, and more.
  • The Sales Hub is from $50 to $1,200 per month and adds advanced email marketing, deal stage automation, call transcription, forecasting, sales analytics, and more.
  • The Customer Service Hub is from $50 to $1,200 per month and is best for offering a quality support to your clients and customers. Features include canned snippets, ticketing reports, custom reporting, customer satisfaction surveys, and more.
  • The CMS Hub is from $23 to $1,200 per month and is designed to build and scale a data-heavy website for your business. Launch beautiful web pages, blogs, landing pages, and more.

Hubspot’s free plan is comprehensive enough to cover the basic CRM needs and more, but as you get more ideas for business growth, you will find that the add-ons will come in handy.

But despite its simple interface, Zoho is oozing with power.

In fact, after just a few minutes of navigating through the tool, you’d already notice the abundance of features that it carries (yes, even in the trial versions).

Large-Business CRM For Tech-Savvy Sales Teams [$52 a month]

SugarCRM has built a reputation of being an enterprise-level CRM because of its not-so-user-friendly platform.

That’s another way of saying that the only way you could make the most out of this tool is if you’re working with tech-savvy team members.

But that’s not taking anything away from SugarCRM’s capabilities.

In fact, SugarCRM markets its software as “the world’s most intelligent CRM” because you can let the platform do all the work.

Conclusion

There’s no perfect CRM because it all boils down to your sales team’s needs and objectives. For some teams, Salesforce isn’t the right fit.

With each tool having its own strengths and drawbacks, you just need to compare and consider all factors such as the number of users, available features, or whatever’s important to you.

I personally think that Zoho’s CRM eclipses every other tool on the list and is therefore the best Salesforce alternative.

It’s the only one that hits the mark when it comes to three major categories: user-friendliness, power, and cost-efficiency.

Zoho also offers a free plan that’s robust enough for you to give a whirl and does not pressure you to upgrade.

What are your criteria for choosing a better alternative to Salesforce?

If you’re still on the fence, you can always pick ones that offer free trials to see if a certain CRM feels right.
